The Auntie Ethel quest and the Free Artist quests will not complete.

I killed Auntie Ethel and freed the lady and went through a bunch of the subsequent cinematics dialog but the quest still shows as a pending quest.

I defeated all the bandits in the cave and also freed the one bandit they were torturing and went through a bunch of cinematic dialog When I try to speak to the Artist he will not interact with me and simply cowers and says go away.

As far as I can tell all the tasks for each quest I have done but they won't complete.

Yes, there are a small number of quests that we can't complete in early access, and we'll need to wait for the full game to find out what happens next!

With respect to the artist, I think he can sometimes be a bit buggy. If you save and reload, or maybe rest and come back, I think it might sort itself out? You can then send him on his way to Baldur's Gate but I believe the quest then says to find him there, which of course we can't do yet.

Same with the freed Mask from Auntie Ethel's, who says she's going to Baldur's Gate to unearth the conspiracy of hags (or something?!). I'm looking forward to finding her there and seeing how she fares - I've a horrible foreboding it won't be well - but for now we can't.

From memory, there's also the Rescue the Grand Duke, Find the Githyanki Creche, and Find the Nightsong still in your journal at the end, along with quests that would lead you to Moonrise Towers if only you could get there!

Thank you. There are lots of intertwined story threads so that makes sense.

I returned to the Artist after adventuring elsewhere for a day and we were now able to speak with each other. He told me the story of his romantic misadventures and off he went to Baldur's Gate with 200 coin I gifted him. Shadowheart and Astarian weren't please with my gift to him. But I suspect my generosity to him will pay off when I see him again in Baldur's Gate I'm sure.

I’m glad he recovered himself and told you his tale. I am not wholly convinced that our more generous characters, though, will get a decent return on their 200 GP if they make this choice again in the full game. Virtue may need to be its own reward!

We’ll hopefully find out in August smile.

the artist being torturiered is an example of lazy scripting... its possible to free him and kill all the guards without first talking to the main guard
doing it this way was not assumed when making the talk scripts so the game doesn't know what to do

Luke Skywalker: I don't, I don't believe it.
Yoda: That is why you failed.
