I'm going to have to give it a try. I've always been partial to clerics ever since 1st edition. I like being able to wear good armor, use a shield, good selection of spells, being able to heal when needed, I absolutely hate undead especially zombies for some reason. I flat out refuse to watch "The Walking Dead" because it's a zombie show. My brother loves the show and keeps telling me it's great whenever zombies come up. lol. But for some reason I actually kinda like the "Resident Evil" movies. Only thing I can think of being a reason is because of Milla. Lol. BG3 has given me a different view of clerics though. I now see them as a different/special sort of wizard, kinda like how I view warlocks. But I guess that's how your supposed to view warlocks? lol. I use to view clerics just as undead turning healers and that's about it because that's about how I got to play them with the DMs I had. I rarely got to use other spells unfortunately. But with the abundance of potions and the insane ability to "throw" them at each other, the healing of a cleric really isn't needed. So I really like the extra spells the light cleric gets along with the normal selection the get. The trickery cleric doesn't have any appeal to me at all and the life cleric just a little with the "Preserve Life" they get special. Sure the couple extra HPs the restore with healing spells is nice but just doesn't compare to the damage output Light clerics get IMO. Just a matter of preference is all.
