Bought the game yesterday. Everything on the ship was smooth. But after the crash, significant fps drops appeared in some places. 3060ti. Tell me: -that just early access. And I'm not the only one)

The game is doing a lot more post crash as it’s loading a lot of the act 1 map all at once, as opposed to just the small prologue area on the nautiloid, so your PC is likely to struggle more. What other stats does your PC have? RAM can make a difference, as can whether you have an SSD, and I know from bitter experience that there’s at least one Windows 11 setting can affect performance.

That all said, performance tuning is likely to be something done late in development so I would expect full release to be better than EA on that front.

16gb of ram. SSD. Ryzen 5 2600. I don't have problems with any popular games. Cyberpunk goes ultra-high. I understand that the game is not ready yet, and by the release it will work better. But. Just as I read on the forums - people with weaker computers in places have better performance than me. Clearly I'm missing something. In the first battle with the goblins, if I hold the camera in a more tactical mode - 60 fps. But as soon as I lower it (that the characters are displayed from the back, as in a conditional witcher), and when the camera shows more textures in the distance (fauna), fps start dropping. I go into a cave or crypt - again stable 60+. As I understand it, the place with goblins and gates lags almost everyone, or am I wrong? In any case, what Windows settings might affect performance?

I agree there are certain spots where framerate drops, particularly when dealing with the appearance of multiple enemies. Though I've not found this too terrible for an Early Access title despite my 2 year old games laptop (at least when I added more RAM than the 8GB I had initially).

The Windows issue I referred to is the Game DVR in Windows 11 consuming system resources - I turned this off a while back using the method described at https://appuals.com/fix-low-fps-while-gaming-windows-11/, and saw a huge improvement in DX11 performance particularly (Vulkan was already mainly fine).

However, I'm glad that you sent me looking at this again as it does seem that there have been some changes that can affect game performance in subsequent updates, as per https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...eo/c26c3756-e1ba-4eca-9a90-ecfb217f1ed0.

And specifically, the KB5020044 Windows update from November 2022 looks to have had some changes to fix stuttery game performance in Windows 11 so if you're using that O/S and don't have that update installed it may be worth a go https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb...ew-43f0bdf9-0b75-4110-bab3-3bd2433d84b3.

I'm well aware that the fact Windows 11 is somewhat notorious for poor performance with gaming is why many gamers stick with Windows 10!

I have an older laptop and even with my GFX turned down I will randomly start getting major FPS drop/stutter. Usually if I quicksave/Quit/reload I will have performance back up to snuff. And as someone else mentioned, during transitions there is a TON of overhead being loaded which causes performance drop... In THEORY it should clear up once everything is loaded, but I am almost thinking that it is keeping a lot of stuff it don't need. Thus a save/quit/reload to 'clean up the garbage' so to speak.
