Is that when you first meet Scratch near Moonhaven, or once he is in your camp?

I didn't have any problems with getting Scratch to come to my camp or petting him once there, though he didn't any longer seem to bring me a ball to play with or any pouches with stuff in. But your issue sounds worse than that!

Thats meeting Scratch (fining him) just outside the Village next to his dead master.

there's some strange things happening in this Patch for me, I beat the goblins by attacking from the rear, i.e behind the windmill, got Fezzenk (or whatever his name is to surrender). when I freed the dude on the wind mill, I got a cut scene with me on the windmill, lol

Now after a long rest, Gale cant cast anything, don't know what he heck that's all about!

Seems like the devs have a lot of work to do.

Ok, my bad, I had put on a leather helmet on Gale and that stopped him from being able to cast (live an learn)

Oh, the Ogres now only drop a head band that gives 17 intellect NOT 18

I’m all for the headband of intellect being downgraded to 17 INT. 18 seemed overpowered. Though I guess it had precedent in that 18 CHA ring you could find early in BG2, I never approved of that either!

Regarding Scratch, did you definitely not engage with him before trying to talk to him with your bard? If it’s not a bug - and of course it might well be - that’s all I can think of. I seem to recall that if you talk to him once, then talk to him again he’ll just bark.

Not sure I’ve ever tried to see whether he’ll still have a brand new interaction with another party member, as though the first chat never happened, as some NPCs do. If you’ve not already tried it, does anything different happen if you try to talk to Scratch with another party member?
