Are you using Steam? You could try verifying the game files to see if that helps. I don’t know whether there’s also something similar for GOG.
You might also be better off submitting a ticket directly to Larian support on this issue (you can find a form to do so if you use the Feedback or Help options on the launcher). These forums are principally for other early access players to support one another, so if there doesn’t happen to be someone else who has had and fixed the issue then you might not be able to get the help you need here.
