Wyll is a badly written version of red prince from dos2. I hated his arc as ir was poorly written. That is amplified by Wyll being much weaker then red prince was in comparison when you recruit him. Here in bg3, the cover art ruins his story and spoils the foreshadowing- not the case with dos2. Also wyll is a boring human, and he died In my playthrough after 4 goblins crit him to death in patch 6.
Likewise he is useless as a Warlock, useless as a fighter, has bad hp, no proficiency with good Armour, and is restricted to being a lawfully good for a character who's story was directly copied from a lawfully evil character- red prince. So it feels stupid and clunky.
Wyll is neither lawful nor good - that much is sure.
