It's ultimately, I think, justified since Larian does have WOTC backing and are in active communication with them, they're directly bound up. But you voiced the idea of boycotting WotR second season pass DLC and that I feel far less certain about. Owlcat are as much victims in this situation as any other small publisher. They didn't even get into bed with WotC at all. They had an agreement with another company that has a relationship with WotC but not even a real busines relationship. They would be getting hurt even without a boycott to contend with. The same would go for Tactical Adventure and Solasta if they go ahead with their hinted next DLC.

All this is to say that I just have a bunch of thoughts on the matter and they're tough ones.

I don't know if boycotting is the right idea behind my decision, because I'm not calling for action, just stating my position on the whole situation, and frankly, with what Paizo's been doing, I'm not sure it's going to be an issue. Here, however, it directly impacts WotC, and then Hasbro. I haven't tried to get a refund on my purchase, as I'm not sure that that would even be possible, considering I purchased the game Day 1 of EA. If I hadn't, however, I would likely not be buying it.
