I entered the spider cavern via the blacksmith's hidden entrance through the wall. When I came to the web bridge, I ran back to let them all come to me. The Ettercap's would not run past the bridge. They stood at the corner of the bridge, near the rock pillar and just hissed at me. I hid around the corner to lure attempt to lure them in. The phase spiders just dashed and teleported in their main area where they spawn. Never even coming close to the bridge.
**Update**
After I climbed down into the river to jump to the ledge to avoid walking across the web bridge. The phase spiders teleported into the water and the fight resumed.
