I totally agree. I think you can mention it now though but this is not even the only thing. The game is still full of this.
Another example is talking to halsin or Omelluum after visiting Auntie. If you agree to her price, she tells you that netherese shadow magic was used to alter the tadpole, yet you cannot mention that anywhere else.
very true.
and also something ive recently been thinking..
is how in the world are we going to get the tadpoles out before the ceremorphosis becomes active an changes us. personally i hope there are going to be muliple options in the main full game other then what we have had so far in early access, i mean yes on most of the my playthroughs so far each time i have gone to moonrise in the underdark, logically figuring that it perhaps would be the most sure an quick way of getting them out. but now when i think about it. im thinking noo it cant be as easy as that. then i thought what about if we go to the creche that la'zel or however you say her name mentions..
what are your thoughts on that @UnknownEvil and @Accessdenied ?
Having read a lot of FR Novels that included the Netherese and Shade Enclave (I so hope we get to meet Thelamont Thantul (does he still live in that time?)) the tadpole is not made to acutally trigger ceremorphosis. I think it is just made to control humanoid society. If you ask Omelluum about the Grand Design you know that their goal is to enslave all (more or less).
So triggering the ceremorphosis would be kind of counterproductive. Especially on People like that abducted "Grand Duke". Asking the dead Mind Flayer about the absolute reveals a circle of mind flayers if i remember correctly. Maybe the shades later betray the Mind flayers too because they have their own designs for the tadpoles.
Triggering ceremorphosis would make like...hundreds of mindflayers suddenly appear everywhere. And never forget that the other victims do not know about having a tadpole. They deny it even if you tell them.
