When you sneak up on the ambusher Goblins on the roofs of Moonhaven Village and make your self visible to them, theres a textoption to [Detect Thoughts].
When having the ability or Scroll to use [Detect Thoughts].
The bug or Visual Error ist that in the Text Mousover Details list/states 1D20+ 3 from Wisdom, so it will use your WIS Stat as Bonus to the Dice Skillcheck.
But when you have the DICE Screen, the Bonus for [Detect Thoughts] option is now Intelligence.
And that Intelligence Bonus will be applied to the roll, not the Bonus from WIS.

If Succeeding the Diceroll, you can say that you want to meet the Goblin "Fezzerk" whos the Leader of the Goblinpack at the Windmill, where the Deepgnome is tied to the Windmill wings.

So, theres a bit confusion bout this.

The Point is that despite the obvious Scrolls using INT, the Tooltip on mousover shows WIS as bonus for Diceroll.
That is the confusion and Visual bug which needs to be corrected.
Im sorry, if my Threadopener wasnt precise enough to make that clear. hehe

What class are you playing? From this thread it looks as though that might impact the ability used for at least some scrolls now.

Of course, whatever class you are playing, the tooltip and the actual ability used not matching would be a bug.

Paladin Class.
But thats not the issue. Its just the fact that the tooltip is not showing the correct Stats used as you realized yourself too.
Maybe in EA this is all subject to change until release in August 2023.
Maybe Larian didnt decide yet how to handle Scroll Usage and at least coded the correct Stat-usage for every class.
But what do i know... Paladin using WIS for a "Detect Thoughts" Scroll.
Is that even correct in the 5e Rules?

I bet the release Version will have a solution somewhere inbetween going to be as faithfull to the rules as can be and the fun a game should bring by doing things a bit different.

But then again the new OGL from Wizard of the Coast could also be affecting the gamecode before BG3 will be released, will it?

At leastd the thread you linked is discussing this issue and therefore i wasnt the first one seeing this. Darn me lazy forumuser, who didnt checked first before opening a new thread wink

Definitely not. BG3 is not being developed under the OGL but a separate agreement with WotC, so whatever is in the as-yet unreleased final version of the new OGL and whenever it comes into effect, it’s not going to affect BG3. I hope this misconception can be put to bed as it keeps cropping up in different places.

The new OGL could affect non-Larian properties, and if you’re interested there’s been some discussion of that in https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=841539.
