My male Paladin referred ingame as femal several times allready.
Is maybe the choice of Hairstyle connected to the hidden Tags for conversations and Voicelines for addressing, if someone is male or female?
Because i have chosen a Hairstyle which could be worn by Male and female.
Its similar to the "The Witcher" styled Hair.

If so, there needs to be another solution how NPCs react to the Players character Gender.

It should only be set for the whole gameduration by the choice of gender at character creation, for all genders of course, not just male and female.
And gender should be added to the summary details view in the charactermenu.

Update Edit 30.01.2023, 20:30 Uhr MET:
Added a Sentence and checked a bit grammar
I do play the english Version. No translation errors here.

No, I have used “a” haircuts for male characters and “b” ones for female and have never seen this mess up pronouns. Did you definitely not accidentally select the female identity during character creation, which is the only reason why a male-bodied character should be referred to as “she”?

My Charackter looks legit Male, but i cant see it in the Details Summary if hes Tagged as female or male.
Theres no Entry for such.
Can only assume that Gender was female at creation, but then, wouldnt it be impossible to choose a male FACE then?

There are two settings: the sex of your character can be picked on the first tab of character creation or (I think) the top of the appearance tab. Then there is an additional setting under it on the appearance tab for “Identity” which will default to align to sex but can independently be updated to male, female or non-binary/other. The body shapes and faces available are driven by the sex setting, whereas pronouns (should) be driven by the identity one.

What you are seeing sounds consistent with your character having a male sex but female identity, though this shouldn’t have been possible unless you actively changed the identity setting in character creation.

I think you might be right that this info doesn’t appear on the in-game character sheet, or at least I can’t picture it. If not, then it probably should.

For me it's the other way around: My female Bard is also sometimes addressed, either

a) as male (see screenshots)

b) with both genders (edit: see screenshot).

Ah, so perhaps this could be an issue with the (specifically German language?) translation. I don’t recall noticing any issues with these conversations, but in English gender doesn’t often get reflected in the game outside pronouns so possibly these conversations are and should be identical for all genders in my games.

The patch note did say "Added option to choose your character's identity, allowing non-gendered appearance options. English only for now; other languages will follow."

This might be why, this feature is still "under-construction" for non-English languages which might lead to some inconsistencies for those languages.

I wouldn't worry too much about this being an issue at launch 🙂

i noticed this as well so it is possible in the english... in my case what caused it was switching from Male to Female during character building didn't cause the “Identity” tab to update itself

in other words i started building a Female Cleric that had the default “Identity” of female but then i changed my mind and made him a male... it wasn't until i hit the beach that i noticed 'he' was still being called a 'she'

i 'assume' at launch we will get the option to change this tab during build but as it stands i honestly don't see the point

Yoda: That is why you failed.
