Hey guys,

We already talk about items color code in a few other threads and I already created a thread about weapons attack here :
https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=840694

In this thread I'd like to suggest a rework of weapons attack color code.

Currently there is only one color code for all attacks with weapons : red background and yellow/orange lines.
It doesn't help to sort our hotbar and to read the UI fast. It's as if all spells icons had the same color lines.

This color code is currently used for :
- Normal attacks (including offhand attack)
- Sneak attacks
- Common weapons attacks (i.e hamstring shot)
- Special weapons attack (i.e absolute power)
- Class attacks (Battlemaster manoeuver, horde breaker, frenzied strike)
- I probably missed some

When you are playing a melee character and have a lot of attack type with weapons, the UI is not really easy to read and to manage.
I'm personnally not a fan of hotbar system because it is usually overwhelming in games (look at WoTR...), but clear icons and color code may help a lot when they are giving good informations.

I think it would help to rework this color code a bit.

Background = Same as now. All attacks with weapons in the list above have this same redish color code.
Lines = Common weapons attacks have white lines rather than yellow/orange ones.

Players understand at the first glance which icons are attacks with weapons with the background color.
The lines color make him understand that this is just attacks avalaible because you are using a specific weapon.

In my opinion this would help players to manage their hotbar.
It would also make the hotbar a lot easier to read (especially for melee classes)
It would really be a good way of visually telling / reminding the rules (white lines never consume your class ressources like superiority die, white lines have cooldown,...)
It would also bring the "common" weapons attacks visually closer to the other common actions icons with white lines (hide, shove, jump) because that's what they are : common "manoeuvers" to do with weapons you are proficient with.

In my opinion it would be a big step forward to improve the readability of the UI. Of course I'm a big fan of pure melee classes so maybe that's why I'm particularly concerned about this.
