is it possible to install and/or play baldurs gate 3 without steam? there was some recent update with steam that is causing all my friends window to appear entirely black. i cannot accept the invite from my friend to join their party.
i hate steam. it is so bulky and always tries to remember my username even though i have it set to not remember my credentials. it is nice portal but it is so cumbersome. due to that black window issue i followed a forum advice to reinstall steam, and it just completely uninstalled/deleted the bg3 game install. now i have to wait 5 hours of downloading bg3 again... through effing steam.
if there IS a way to play bg3 without steam, would i still be able to join our party using multiplayer direct invite codes?
ideally i want to just install bg3 without steam entirely. if there is a way to do this, can someone point me to the install directions?
