Well, well Kiya, You have just assigned your wonderful self a valid job to monitor the number of votes for two days.
We should all agree on stopping voting completely to find out the offender.

I'm going to address some of your concerns piece by piece:

Our path of maintaining Riftrunner's rating worked quite well actually. We did maintain our rating despite being downvoted many times. The fact that 5000 votes were deleted didn't really make me angry although it did trigger concern because even though so many votes were deleted, our rating remained unchanged.



If I were ever placed in this hypothetical situation, I would calmly assess my options and instead of swearing at the ants and mosquitoes, I'd simply move away from that environment. Mosquitoes and ants do what they do because it is part of the process of life. An animal may protest strongly against being hunted and killed by humans. So might a plant. It is said that every living thing is a murderer. It's sometimes a matter of perspective. Being aware of this dynamic might make you more forgiving the next time you see ants or mosquitoes. Remember...like you, they are also trying to survive.


I admit now that both your actions and my actions might be seen as unethical. I along with others have voted for Riftrunner more than once within a four day period. This is definitely breaking the rules set forth by the site administrators of voting once every four days and could be considered unethical from a certain perspective. As I've said before, we have not been defeated by maintaining our ratings.



We are both Larian fans even though we may have different ideas about how to achieve the same goal(more publicity for Riftrunner). This is where we share common ground. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />



I am not really surrendering to their war tactics. To do so would be to not vote at all. I am not fighting back either as that would imply downvoting other games. There is no competition in one sense because I am simply focused on raising or maintaining Riftrunner's rating without a focus on what the rating of other games are. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

There is no meaning in trying peace after declaring war but there is a great meaning in declaring war when peace fails.

The enemy is uncovered and the name is Bitmap Brothers and Ubi Soft.
They are the developers of both Speed Ball and the Prince of Persia respectively.
They had been relentlessly pumping their games and down-voting everyone else to come on top for publicity.
It is not a fans-versus-fans war but a developer publicity office against all of us, thus our enemy is frail and conquerable.

We may vote for <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> again as usual to bring it up to 7.7 at least and then let us stop voting to watch the rabid down voting taking place. It is then that we may report the assault to the moderators to ban Bitmap Brother’s ISP from voting for or against anyone else to produce fair votes.

And if nobody help us against these people huh? We can start down vote against them too, if they can do this with us, it's completely fair we do this with them too. And i think some people here are injured enough to want vengeance. From =~ 7.000 votes this down to =~1200. Reading other threads, some people here declared a war with vote thing, i'll not participe of this vote thing, but i think if the people of other side is using dirty game, you have 4 options:

1 - Try to vote the max what you can and lost cause they're cheating.
2 - Ask for surrender and forget about vote thing
3 - Talk with the admin people of the vote site and ask for justice.
4 - Play dirty too.

Listen up Shyon, I would have loved a fair play and I would have accepted the results of whatever outcome with an Olympic-sports-spirit, but someone out there is playing dirty and has an interest in the top position badly enough to vote us down against the ethical rules of the voting ethics by repeatedly voting us down within an hour by more than twenty votes all with a value of 1.

Yeah yeah i know what you mean, you're using justifications of actions from other people to justify your reaction.

This is normal in a world like what we live, we can't change other people or the world, we just can change ourselves.

If they're cheating, we can cheat too. But i'll not participate of this, like Death said, the game will not less or more cause of the poll of one site in this world, this isn't the best site in the world too.

But i'll not join to the other side too, i have neutral action, but my goodluck is for Riftrunner of course.
