Larian made it pretty clear in the PFH that the August release date was likely considerably more time than they needed. They are just doing what awesome companies do - they are being conservative in the estimates they give and making sure they don't disappoint anyone.
So whoever expects it in December you are just wrong and have not been paying attention to how they have been communicating.
If I was allowed to bet on these forums I would bet you $1000 USD that it comes out August or earlier. (does not constitute a bet)
