Exactly ... they come to contact with bacterias, or viruses their body didnt know ...
Wich is litteraly what would happen to you.

Childern sure ... bcs there we are talking about 20-30y difference, and those childerns often live in same living conditions ...
But the more generations come in between, the less im willing to believe that your body is carrying some ultimate imunity against illness, that may not even exist nowadays ...

And there is lots of generations in 4000y. laugh

Well, since we would never know ... i think we can agree to disagree.
If you would ever invent time traveling, let me know ... i would gladly be prooven wrong. laugh

Indeed!

I mean, im no biologist, bacteriologist nor virologist myself ... obviously. laugh
But from what i have read (and i may have undersand it wrong), most mutations exist trough pure coincidence ... all those "little buggers" as you (and certain old lady) say, are basicaly constantly evolving, in incredible speed ... luckily for us, most of their mutations are not too dangerous for us ... until they are. :-/
But jut that they are teoreticaly able to create thousands variations of themselves, wittin few weeks (maybe even faster) ... well, if this isnt fascinating, i dont really know what would be. laugh

Yeah, basicaly that ...

Im not really sure if we should read that from genetical perspective Half Elves equal to humans litterally ... or just take it as if there is any distinction they are not able to find it in Thedas.
(wich i just cant help the feeling that some should be there, but i understand that they didnt want to bother with it, even WotC are throwing halfbreeds away)

Still ...
That is my headcannon. :P
Elves breeded with humans, linger around humans, and in general were often figuratively becoming humans more and more ... until they started even look similar.

And until BioWare will provide us any better explanation, that is what i stick to. laugh
(And yes, i would probably accept even that Solas as a child fall on his head laugh )
