Branding Smite is available for both melee and ranged combat, but the skill icon is cumbersome. For example, I only use throwing weapons on my Barbarian and only wanted melee combat icons in my hotbar. The BM maneuvers are a more flexible example here. There I can choose the icons for the hotbar. The current Branding Smite icon with the selection category I would find much better, for example, with all the caster classes, because otherwise the hotbar is crowded very quickly.
