I mean ... it would make sense.

After all, it should have ben released on all curent and new-gen consoles (with same key even!), but at this rate, people would probably not even remember curent-gen by the time it releases ... so it would be quite possible if they would change this decision.
I wouldnt never call it smart change, but can imagine them do it.

Personaly im a bit sceptical about Unreal 5 ... cant say its somehow bad, not at all ... but its still " "quite new" " (double quote marks to incerase emphasis), and if there is something about new engines im affraid of, its bugs. :-/

I mean 4 may not have as breathtaking features, but after all theese years, its mostly known and explored ... both in matter of its possibilities, and limits. :-/
I ofcourse realize and understand that words "Unreal 5" have sound that may drag interest ... if there is one, single, most important thing the entertaining industry should learn from Cyberpunk ... its that underestimating "kinda rough, but acceptable" release can bite you in the ass as rabid dog ... so, no matter what engine they pick, i really hope they invest triple amount of intended time to testing, twice over.
For their own good. laugh :-/
Yes but Cyberpunk developers themselves said they will ditch their engine and use superior Unreal 5 example for next Witcher game. Well and it will be tested to kingdom come there are really many Unreal 5 engine games developed currently.
I do not know if my butt was kicked, but my eyes went wide open and I have not been excited for a graphics engine so much for a long time before. The engine itself is of course not that interesting, but there are games coming with Unreal 5 engine that interest me.

I was never so excited about ray tracing due to fact it does require so much system performance. Now with Unreal 5 replaces ray tracing and has much better system performance then ray tracing.

What makes it interesting to me is system performance combined with excellent graphics.
It is not the name only. Unreal 5 beats clearly Unreal 4 and I can promise it is not a name change only from 4 to 5.
It's not exactly that, the red engine just seems unable to properly do it in certain cases. E.g. the best PC on the market may play Witcher 3 GOTY with frame rate issues. A worse PC could have lesser problems (seriously, mine plays kinda bad, but not nearly as bad as it should be!). Little pattern or reason. The engine doesn't work well with directX12. It's a disaster. They really need to ditch it. Ray tracing is demanding, yes. But, not this demanding!
