Hmmm ... sounds acceptable to me. smile

Now i only wonder what stats he will have, since concidering statistics of Githyanki (on wich i complained constantly for quite long time, with no effect) ... i fear that in order to make him "challenging enough" Larian may feel urge to give him 24 in every stat. :-/

Interesting indeed ...
Question: Do you think this mean that cult of the Absolute is spreading for more than 100y ?

I mean, his war against Druid and Harpers happened aproximately that long ago, right?
I wonder when he was tadpoled ... IF he even is tadpoled.

And since he wish to "finish what he started" as you poined out ... i also wonder if whatever he started was his plan, or if he was influenced by the Absolute back then ...
Bcs, logicaly, if he can be tadpoled for a century and still dont show a single sign of transformation ... even the most hardcore decliners here on forum must agree that time is really not a problem for out Tav. (Once he find out this obviously.)

Damn ... for being "totally spoiled" we know awfully little about this man. laugh

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown
Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are! frown

Oddly enough I don't think they'd do that. The githyanki are - from my perspective as someone who's not really good at combat - the hardest fight in the game for no real reason. I've managed to beat the hag, the three cult leaders and even Nere, but the Githyanki? I never even come close, it's not even a fair fight. Yet they're an entirely optional combat tied to a companion quest. Compared to every other combat in the game the gith are a strange aberration.

My assumption is that he wanted destroy civilization or some other specific good thing and now he's trying to do so again. I'm pretty sure the Absolute is new and he's thrown in with it recently to achieve his goals. But also even if he were tadpoled tht longI don't think that proves anything still, since as one of the three leaders of the cult he's clearly a special case. More special than we are. And even if that weren't the case I still think finding out at the end of act one is just far too late for that reveal to really matter in any way.

Well the trailer was directed in a way to make you understand where Ketheric comes from. How he fell. And yeah, he's relatable.

If i can try to guess, i would say that when he lost his family his faith just died. And he became spiteful, searched for a new way to destroy what he stood for.

So 2 possibilities.

He was a paladin of Selune, or someone else, and he fell for Shar after experiencing loss. Which begs the question, where does the Absolute fit in?

Or, he lost his wife, embraced Shar, lost his daughter, and then hated Shar as well, turning to a new power, the Absolute. Maybe the Absolute is just an Elder Brain wanting to destroy civilization and the gods as we know them. Who knows.
