for some reason, they dont allow hotmail addresses

Maybe somewhere where only one address is allowed? They accepted mine without probs. It's a German one though (t-online)

Your t-online addie is your "real" addie.
The site clearly doesn't allow web-based mail... hotmail anyway.
And that's what jvb and Merendrious mean. We all use web based mail to not give away our real mail addies. ( You should too btw/didn't we had this talk before? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> ). I'll check it out tomorrow. There are portals enough, I'll see if I can find some they will accept.

I see no harm in giving my real addie away, when I get something, I check it via antivir anyway and I've got spamfilters. I don't register into 150 000 sites <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Yep, I already tried.
They don't like hotmail and yahoo. The most popular portal sites.
But if you have an email addie at a less known site you have no problem signing up.
Or, you can use your ISP mail, like kiya did.

There are lots of sites like that. But I don't surf around so much anymore...

Excite used to be one of the portal sites too. So maybe they won't accept excite.com too.
There's lovemail.com, there used to be rocketmail.com, ...

They haven't re-opened the voting yet, I see.

BTW, my ISP account allows several email addresses... I just set up a new one for registrations, and can always delete or change it later. MailWasher lets me catch and kill junk on the way in, so my inbox doesn't get flooded.

We were indeed enthusiastic to vote at the beginning, then it turned into a war of sorts, then 5000 votes were deleted, then we were all depressed, then my pals started to consider me rude and arrogant for saying the truth, then I started losing potential friends.
Hell, it is not worth it; I am here for fun and friendship and if any one declares war on me from this forum I would unsubscribe in a blink of an eye. Life is not that long to spend under such stress.
Therefore, hereby I declare an eternal boycott to all voting of all sorts including political elections.
I have been traumatised recently by some idiots on another forum and I shall not let this happen again.
Enough said.
