The further Abdel stays from this game, the better.
I also agree that the identity and actions of Gorion’s Ward should ideally be fudged as far as possible in BG3, leaving us room to imagine they’re our own BG1/2 protagonists as much as we can. Only an extremely strong plot that required Gorion’s Ward was Abdel Adrian, or indeed assumed any specific gender or that they had children, would persuade me to accept anything else. I’m afraid providing Wyll or any other character with a lineage connecting them to the original games wouldn’t do it for me. At least, unless that lineage was essential to the role they played in BG3, and even then I’d probably prefer Larian didn’t go there.
