Since Ilyn Toth had been on the run from Szass Tam, I think he has also most likely stolen the necromancy book from him, to try to bring an unknown person back to life.

Given the hobbies of this gentleman, it seems like a really good idea for our Tav (or Astarion, or Gale) to try to use this book. What could possibly go wrong? 😄

As a player, it is quite obvious you maybe shouldn't try to use this book, but I have to try it at least once.
I want to see what kind of disaster my poor well-meaning Tav accidentally causes.
