Okay this has probably been ask numerous time but i didn't know how to state it bit anyways in Pillars of Eternity 2 in the main menu you can select all the events that happened in the previous game including the DLCs it took me roughly 20mins to sift through it all, maybe implement something like this for unique encounters where veteran players can go "i remember this".

Idk just a thought.

My Name is Regulator and im a Hoarder in the lands of Faerűn.

how much stuff is to much stuff, because its certainly not enough stuff.

As cool as it sounds I don't think there will be enough callbacks for that? Then there is that godawful canon and I think Larian will need to stick to it.

Yeah, basically Abdel Adrian (the protagonist in lore) - becomes the last Bhaalspawn and dies after becoming The Slayer in the middle of Baldur's Gate. It assumes Abdel renounced his divinity and didn't become a God.

So the current status of the Dead Three, Bane, Bhaal and Myrkul, is that they are back but reduced to basically DemiGods. They are weak. We see their symbol everywhere in the game, and it is appears
the Absolute's Mark is a combo of all three symbols.

Anyway, I have a solid theory as to what happened and what is going on right now but it's a possible major spoiler.

I remain hopeful that the exact identity of Gorion’s Ward and what they did will be fudged so we can head canon in our own characters as much as possible, but even if so would expect that to be accomplished by omission of unnecessary detail about specific elements of the established FR lore that could contradict our own BG1 & BG2 playthroughs rather than by actually giving us the opportunity to specify their events and responding to them.

I’m hoping Larian can hit the sweet spot between being so vague about BG1/2 that it doesn’t feel as though BG3 is the same story and being so specific that it rules out too many different Charnames.

And we already know, for example, that only possible worlds in which Minsc and Jaheira survived will be consistent with BG3. Though, to be fair, that was also true of BG2 even if they died in BG1!

"You may call it 'nonsense' if you like, but I've heard nonsense, compared with which that would be as sensible as a dictionary!"
