It would be really weird if somebody found out their female elf wasn’t named what they entered in the character creation screen, but was actually Gustav.


The reason the Voice Actors didn’t know Tav’s name is because Tav doesn’t have a canonical name, so “Tav” doesn’t appear anywhere in the script.


If you are suggesting that the custom created character might have a secret name other than what we enter, no, that won’t be a thing.


But I’m not really sure what this topic is about.

S/he’s talking about cannon name and that Tav is a place holder. BG1 and 2 used Adian(sp) at character creation like Tav is currently being used.

No, I mean I’m not sure what they mean by could the name be something else. OP hasn’t made that clear.

And Adrian was not in BG1 and 2 character creation. There was no character creation placeholder name in those games. You had the option to jump right into the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion with a pre-generated save file that used Abdel Adrian as the player character and he can be selected as a pre-generated character in the Enhanced Editions of the game.
