We're seeing quite a few changes to subclass features in EA, most of which I'm in favor of. I suspect that most of the changes are made for one of two reasons:
1. The specific feature or ability doesn't translate well from tabletop to video game (for example: Cleric's Invoke Duplicity).
2. The specific feature or ability was already underwhelming in tabletop form and needed an upgrade in general (for example: Ranger's favored enemy).
Knowing this, I started thinking about some other features/abilities I would like to see Larian tweak for BG3. Here's a short list I thought of, but I'm curious what other items everyone would add to this list.
1. Warlock, Pact of the Blade: I don't know if being able to materialize your weapon would be as useful in a video game. I would like to see them take a bit of Hexblade flavor (especially if Hexblade doesn't get added) and allow the pact boon to add CHA instead of STR for attack and damage rolls.
2. Wizard, Enchantment, Illusion, & Transmutation Traditions: All of these subclasses lean into features that don't seem to fit with the games current build, but the overall flavor of the subclasses leave plenty of room to create a new interpretation.
3. Warlock, Great Old One, Thought Shield: They've already changed this subclass in EA, but I think the lvl 10 feature could use some tweaking to be more useful in game.
I also think many spells will need reworking (especially some divination spells), but that could be a list of its own.
