Ilmater's Aid is an Amulet you find in Priestess Gut chambers.
Its description say:
Quote
Strength in Suffering: Non-Cantrip spells deal an additional 1d4 Force damage when the wearer drops to half their Hit Points or lower.

Now, maybe i read something wrong ...
But when i just tested it ... Wyll had 23/48+3/9(temp) HP ... not sure if temp HP shoul count tho, but in this case it should be fine anyway.

When i used Scorching Ray ... it give 2d6 Fire (per ray) + 1d6 Necro (from Hex) + 1d4 Force (from amulet) ... wich seems corect.

When i sed Eldrich Blast ... it give 1d10 Force + 4 Force (cha mod, both per blast) + 1d6 Necro (from Hex) + 4 Force (cha mod).

Puting aside that Charisma modifier was counted twice, wich was allready submited in the past.

My question is:
Should i give another 1d4 Force on second cast?
Bcs while im aware that it specificly say "Non-Cantrip" ... Hex is not a Cantrip and it deals damage, so in my honest opinion, it should work!

Thoughts?

I haven't checked the item but based on how it likely works:

So Hex sets a status boost on an enemy. I don't think the passive set by the item would proc the extra damage as it works when the spell is cast. And hex doesn't do damage when it is cast on an enemy.

Maybe it needs a clearer description. When you cast a non cantrip spell which deals damage and you have...it deals an extra 1d4 of force damage.

Hex is not what does the damage... it just allows other spells to do more
a Cantrip should not work imo... if i had coded it then flagging any non-Cantrip spell is how i would do it so
