I'd rather go for this that the buggy-style items that just dissapear you swap your weapon set... on top of being totally immersion breaking.

For me, pics 1 and 3 are okay, but I really dislike 2 (clipping is a pet hate of mine, and I find it more immersion breaking than occasionally appearing/disappearing weapons). Of course, it's a matter of taste and priorities and I'm not going to say anyone else's are wrong, merely what I personally prefer.
