Let's say a dagger with the returning property (so we can avoid object interaction rules) my understanding is the level 5 fighter can throw the dagger twice per turn in 5e rules
With the new UA it looks like DnD 2024 will make that easier as well.
Yeah, if one thinks about it for a minute, the warrior fighting with thrown weapons is absolutely shafted by the second turn of combat in 5e. Well, unless they've got the Thrown Weapon Fighting Style from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything they are.
