Kaya, No you are not stupid, I mis understood the term black map. I have a black square where I am standing after I save or reload. I found the folder Divine Divinity but I did not find divine Divinity\run\dymamic' folder. In the folder I found was ( These are all different folders.) Misc, Run, Uninstall,CD Check.Dll, cdv, cdv_registra, Divine Divinity ( This starts the game) ReadMe.txt, Story.pdf, www.divined, www.larian. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/stupid.gif" alt="" />

I don't know why there would be a black square over your character on save or load.

'Divine Divinity\run\dymamic' is actually 3 separate folders; the 'dynamic' folder is in the 'run' folder, which is in the 'Divine Divinity' folder.

Hi all just wanted to let you know, with all of your help I now have alot less trouble with this game. I deleted everything to do with the game and started from scratch. Did ScanDisk & Defrag then loaded game then update. Started new game. I never even noticed the candle under her, I just clicked on her(the statue) both times:\ and it works.

The guardian is really all that much of a help unless your character is really weak. Plus, the Steel Guardian/Warrior kills him really quickly
