Not so much fears but gripes i have at the moment, that im worried/think wont be changed are
1. The lighting needs working on, its not up to standard imo
2. Weapons floating on peoples backs, i find it looks really stupid
3. Flaming fist look like they are cosplaying the flaming fist and ran out of armour
4. Items in game dont feel very dnd, they need de-larianing and following dnd closer, currently i find most magical items irritating to use
5. We where told early access was just evil characters and we will get good companions later at full release, im worried this has been forgotten, and we will be stuck with very few good companions.

My biggest fears are these:
1) The custom Tav will have less impact on the story, or will be less interlinked with the story, compared to origin characters.
2) A lot of characters say demeaning comments about you some times, or just disagree with you. I am afraid, based on what we saw so far, that our character won't have banter to retaliate as they should, if they so will.
3) I am afraid that the untested parts of the game will be less thrilling than described, and full of bugs.
4) Races and subclasses that i enjoy playing won't be part of the game, is another concern. Aasimar, Yuan-ti Pureblood, and Hexblade, Shadow Sorcerer, are what i would like to see for example.
5) This is my biggest fear by far. And so far, i have had no one from Larian even commenting to address this issue. Plate armors seen on trailers( a few only ), and available through mods, have problems with their appearance. Plate armor is supposed to be interlocking plates, as in, your elbowcap covers your bracers etc, your kneecaps cover your shinguards and so on. In every RPG out there you can see this pattern. It's the norm, even on DOS2. That was true until patch 7 in EA as well, only seen through mods, up to now, but now you can see it trailers, even the last one. Everything we have seen on heavy armor has these gaps, between the body armor and the boot models, like the design concept has issues. Like the models of boots for example, don't match at all with the rest of the armor, especially in interlocking alignment. This creates a goofy image on armor, that we used to see at the start of the 3D era. Not now, and certainly not on a game like this. This, again, did not happen before patch 7, something changed then, or close to that. I hope it's just the EA models, but i see trailers with the same issue. Drow leather doesn't suffer from this, and it's a light armor, what is the deal with heavy armor? Maybe we haven't seen it's full implementation yet? Can you show something that alleviates this problem?
Maybe this isn't a big issue for some, but for me it is. How my character and their gear look is important, if i didn't find it important i would play something else than a fantasy RPG of this caliber. So can someone please for the love of Tyr or Ghond or Umberlee or whatever, answer that this is an issue only with early access? We saw this problem in trailers as well, shouldn't we show the best in trailers, appearance wise? I would really like to know what happened to the armor models, why don't they interlock or cover boots properly, and will it be fixed for the final release? Larian?
6) This happened in DOS2. I am afraid that some cool armor sets that we will see on NPCs, are NPC only. This, and, when you loot someone wearing armor, they should have the armor on, especially if they benefitted from its AC.

That we don't get a lot of companions and the ones we don't have in the party at a certain point become unavailable. I don't want to get locked in a fixed party. That we won't get a member of the small races as companion.Or generally more race diversity in companions. The lineup, we know about, is pretty boring with mostly humans, halfelfs, one elf and the githyanki and tiefling as the exotic choices. I want gnomes, halflings, dwarves, dragonborn and halforcs.
And I want Tav to be as meaningful or even more so than the companions.

In last trailer we have seen our stardard Origin group in Baldur's gate ... all 5 of them ... It was said that developers see the city of Baldur's Gate as "big finale" ... It may be just promotion materials ofcourse, with zero information value ... i know, i know ... still, doesnt that make one at least little hopefull that they reconcidered that whole "pick and let others go" theory?

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are!

I hope so. I don't want to have to choose, which companion to keep.

I don't think that trailer footage points to anything - I doubts devs played through the entire act1 just to record footage for the video. I doubt footage shown has any bearings of what could be available in any single playthrough. It seems, though, that Minsc and Jaheira will be act2 (?) companions, so Larian already might have chosen to provide us with more story companions past act1 than they did in D:OS2. On top of that, if hirilings are recruitable through Withers, assuming they become available in act1 (and not at the start of act2 as it was in D:OS2) players could potentially fill their party with hirings and unintentionally loose access to all story origin companions if the plan were to take them away. We will see

they actually remove "party lock after act 1" thing from discord FAQ. Oooh, that seems fairly promising! Thanks for passing that info on.

O_o Well, well, well ... https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=677277#Post677277From here aswell! Damn ... such changes should have some kind of log recorded somehow. -_- Would be much better if they would either write what was removed, or just keep it written like this ... This way user (or me at least) never know if something changed, or if i just search at wrong place. -_- And now i wonder what else was removed without telling us!

Not exactly a fear as it already happened, but the close release of Starfield will probably have a big negative effect on BG3.
