This is something I've been thinking about for a while now, and I really believe it would help add better motivation for some players to side with The Absolute. Upon creating a character, we are asked "Who do you dream of? Who attracts you?". My suggestion is that a secondary option is added. Perhaps the player would instead be asked this: "Who do you dream of?" and have the choice between the options "Somebody that attracts me" and "A lost loved one".
For RP purposes, especially for characters with certain alignments, they might be influenced more strongly by the dream person if they were seeing a dead parent, for example, rather than a hot stranger. The dream person's dialogue as a lost loved one could be made vague enough to fit for different types of relationships, or the player could be given a further choice as to who the person is (parent, sibling, friend, mentor, etc). I have seen feedback from some people saying they don't feel there is enough motivation to do a playthrough where they side with The Absolute. Adding another option for the dream person might give them more reason - I know for myself it would. If this dream person, as a lost loved one, were to say things like "give in and we can be together again" or "give in and you will gain the power to bring me back", I think they would be more convincing. The current (who attracts you?) dream person just feels untrustworthy and dangerous to me. I know others enjoy pursuing the dream person as a romance option, however for those like me who don't have that interest, an alternate option would be great. I'd be surprised if this isn't already something that Larian have considered, but figured I would throw the idea out anyways.
