Oh no! Things are hotting up, and after not feeling that there was a burning reason to go to any of the locations over the weekend I now want to go everywhere!

I've voted for Shrine of the Suffering this time though, now that our overbearing guard has been confirmed to be involved in the illicit meat trade and that does seem to be connected to our original corpse given the top-hatted mystery man (Fel?) threatened the tiefling middle-man after he discovered the unsavoury nature of the trade and us because we were investigating the murder of the beardless bard. It's all a bit circumstantial though, and could be a wild goose chase. Given what we found at the beach, it seems possible that the dragonborn was also killed at Insight Park so I want to get there at some point and hopefully find out a bit more about that other murder that we have practically no info about. I guess it's also possible that the killing was near Sailor's Crossing given we're told it could have been anywhere along the river. Then there's the lead to the stonemason's and another reference to the Cliffside Cemetery, so perhaps we will get the opportunity to visit there to quiz the dead dragonborn if we pull on that thread more.

But as a lead on the meat trade, I figured following up on the guard was a better bet than the butcher's shop, as it sounds as though the butcher only just found out that his "special stuff" was humanoid in origin (anyone else getting echoes of the butcher in League of Gentlemen?) so it feels unlikely his apprentice knows much. Though I am worried about their welfare. Do we think that the butcher was killed because he objected once he found out what he was selling? Do we think we might have been able to save his life if we'd gone to the shop earlier, or could we have hastened his demise?
