I'd say that the Aberrant Mind Sorcerer is the low-hanging fruit that Larian strangely decided to avoid picking, honestly. That said, I can't say I'm upset about Storm Sorcerer since my first 5E character was a bronze Draconic Sorcerer that transitioned to Storm once it was officially released. For sentimental reasons, I'm happy to see it here.

That said, it's pretty often considered the weakest choice in the Sorc community so that's why I'm also kind of quirking an eyebrow at its inclusion. Maybe they wanted to avoid stepping on the toes of another class or subclass? (Cleric with Divine Soul and GOOlock with Aberrant Mind, specifically.) Even then, Clockwork Soul would be a strong and flavorful choice.

tl;dr - While I'm a little perplexed at the decision, I'm not mad at it.
