I HARDLY EVER use annother view than the "flattened one" - I'm used to it. It's more easy for me to navigate.
I changed it once, and quickly lost what I was looking for out of view.

It's a widespread tool of authors. It HAS a kind of harm,ony, but some stories (especially tragic ones) don't need it.
