I open this post with the objective of discussing the possibility of whether or not we will obtain dlc for baldurs gate 3 and if so, these are some things that I would like.

In the event that we do get dlc one of the first ones I would like them to release would be Dungeon Master mode like they did with Divinity: Original Sin 2.

In case they include dlc that introduce new races or monsters, I would like them to use the reference book Mordenkainen presents: monsters of the multiverse since it includes 30 playable Races of which we already have the Gityanki and the sub-races of the Deep Gnomes and the Duergar in addition to the book also has 250 monsters to choose from.

As for you in case we get dlc for baldurs gate 3 which is what you would like us to get.

I knew we'd discussed this before, so did a quick search and found this, which I then noted was also created by yourself! It's clearly something you're particularly interested in grin.

Personally, I know I'll want DLC and expansions, but don't have any further thoughts beyond what I said in that earlier thread. I'm sure once the game is out and I've had chance to play (and probably replay) it and see what the base game actually gives us, I'll have some more specific thoughts.

My top three would be:

- A level increase to level 20 with associated areas and adjusted enemies or enemy numbers.

- German dubbing (hope dies last)

- Artificier Class (including Artillerist)

Concidering how much time i spend in EA ...
How hyped i am for release ...
And how much time i most likely WILL spend in full release ...

I dare to claim that i will gladly buy whatever addition Larian release.

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown
Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are! frown

A Day / Night cycle with ambient sounds and and adjusted dialog for the original story.

I would pay for this and it would be worth replaying.

Sprinkle in bits and bobs to make it a worthy DLC.

too early for DLC? but if there's one..
- increase difficulty and 6 party character limit.
- level 20
- high level content, high level dnd enemies
- new companions and romance. please have each for male/female. often a new companion always a shaft to me. male companion? then that's a shaft to male players especially if they wanted a female and vice versa. it's hard to please everyone so having one for each gender is best for both worlds.
- new location, areas, environments. i'm not well verse with dnd lore. but its their an angelic plane? it would be nice we can visit heavens which is nice. i'm an old fan of heroes of might and i dream of being in Celeste for real. it was just awesome.

I very much doubt we'll get a DM mode. a) It received very little use in D:OS2, b) the effort required would be better spent elsewhere and c) the engine seems a lot more complex now, further reducing the user friendliness and increasing the complexity required to craft a DM mode that works. While I'm a frequent DM'er, I prefer this game to be super focused on delivering good stories, not half-assing a DM mode that won't be used. For module creation and online play, NWN is still king and I doubt it'll be knocked off it's throne anytime soon.

I expect the first DLC's will be typical WOTC type content: new races, classes, options, and so on. I'm all for it as long as it's not priced too high. It's a staple of WOTC D&D and honestly how they make money. More content is always good.

I imagine that they've either planned for a story DLC to give us level 12-20, or just straight up work on a Baldurs Gate 4 that comes in another 5 years and takes us from 12 - 20. Maybe they wanted two games (1-10 + 11-20), but then decided to just do one game + major DLC. Time will tell.

What would in my opinion be great, but probably not everyone's cup of tea, is DLC's which add more companions. Minsc and Jaheira might be good companions, but so far I'm not thrilled by the current party members at all. Perhaps they can bring in some new writing talent that doesn't write ridiculous characters and they'll be available as DLC's. I doubt it, but I'd be more than willing to pay for new companions with good (non-ridiculous) stories and a more grounded and pleasant disposition.

Just an off topic question, i'm just curious and i don't mean to offend anyone.

I very often see wishes for dubbed versions(of all kinds of media) from Germans and i just don't get it.
As far as i can tell , you guys usually both read and speak english perfectly.
The only media that gets dubbed in Sweden are movies and shows for kids because they have yet to learn english and can't read fast enough for subtitles.
What is the point of dubbing a media that doesn't really need it?
