I have so, so many characters I plan to make. the big one is a tiefling archey pact of the blade warlock by the name of Free. She was my first D&D player character and getting to play her again would be fun.

Then I have several drow characters. A vengeance paladin who is sworn to kill the lolth-sworn and their allies, a seldarine drow ranger who hunts and tracks lolthsworn trying to make for the surface. Then a silver dragonblooded drow sorceress who's both noble and arrogant.

I also want to play a female dwarven playwright bard. Might fit a halfling wizard in there too.

Then we have the half-orcs. A half orc storm sorcerer, a half-orc paladin nd a half-orc monk all feel very right to me.

Are these each going to be separate playthroughs or are you going to play with multiple custom characters? It sounds like a lot of BG3!

Certainly a storm sorcerer. Probably some variant of elf. Potentially multiclassing into vengeance paladin or tempest cleric.

Well, I had my first character all planned out, but I just today heard the AMAZING news about Halsin, so it's back to the drawing board. Now I'm thinking an elven CotL druid - probably drow.

Oh they would definitely all be seperate playthroughs. I'm not gonna lose a companion slot to a custom character. But yeah, it is a lot of BG3 I'm signing up for. Hopefully the roleplay on release improves enough that it feels worth it to play all those characters.

I mean, that's the understatement of the decade, isn't it? Either what we get with the full release is a complete let down and all the different plot things they've teased just fail to materialize, or more likely, there's a nearly infinite variety of ways to explore all the different threads, to the point where after the grove, it could feel like playing at least three or four completely different, if similarly themed games

Lavinia Foxglove - lore bard/ feylock and halfling, If they fixed the halfling body proportions, or tiefling.

Then Mirabelle Layne-, my gnome arcane trickster, I so loved in my last EA playthrough.

A Green Dragonborn Moon Druid with a fascination for the less natural, but still living, creatures of Faerun. Monstrosities, Aberrations, etc. He has long been intrigued by the history of his own people and their relationship to their new homeworld, as Dragonborn are actually from another world entirely. After reconciling his druidic teachings with the fact that his people aren't naturally native to this world he developed a strong sense of empathy for other living things that were brought into this world through unnatural means and hopes to find a way to better integrate the less destructive ones into the world so they don't need to be completely exterminated to preserve the world's natural state.

His relationship with the tadpole will be interesting. He'll absolutely want to study it and might be less inclined to try and kill it once he understands it won't kill him. Being able to turn into an Owlbear will also be incredibly thematically appropriate for him.

After that, I'll likely play my Gold Dragonborn Fighter/Archfey Blade Warlock. He's a shady mercenary that got trapped in the Feywild and had to make a deal with a Fairy Princess to escape. She treats him like a child might treat their favorite toy, forcing him to play the role of the knight in shining armor lest he gets stripped of his newfound abilities. That one could be fun as the mercenary is closer to evil alignment than good, but he has to publically do good deeds to keep his patron happy.

Then I want to do a full run as Gehk, my Githyanki STRanger. Gloomstalker looks like the perfect choice for him. He's a Githyanki Astral Pirate who gets picked up by the Mind Flayers during one of his raids in the Material Realm. He's very much an evil character, so I'll get to do a proper evil run as him.

I also want to do a playthrough as my Half-Orc Barbarian/Moon Druid multi-class. He's a bit more of a traditional druid who seeks to maintain a balance between the wild and civilized worlds. He looks dangerous, but in reality, his a big ol' softie who believes that strength is measured in how much you can do for others, not how much violence you can do to them.

Some of these will probably be used in multi-player campaigns. Probably the two multi-classes. We'll see.

So been thinking… I have posted similar before will copy/paste with changes based on updates:

First: AvahZ Darkwood (N/G)
Half-Elf Fighter/Druid
Will save everyone at grove. May use illithid power up to first ability.

Second: Cobalt Walker (N/E)
Human: Paladin Oath Breaker. Will initially side with the Goblins to ruin the grove to spite Sylvanus. Hates the gods and all they stand for (All thing’s die and so should the gods). Then will begin to slowly wipe away the upstart Absolute’s influence.
Will not use the illithid powers.

Third: Myst Windlore (T/N)
Elf: Sorcerer (Storm)/ Cleric (Tempest lvl2)
Will save all in Grove. Will use illithid power, may stop at first power for story purposes.

Fourth: Rah Rah (C/N)
Drow: Bard(Sword)/Thief 9/3 Mrs. Stabs a lot with two weapons fighting, quick hands, and extra 6th level attack.
Will steal idol for Mol and thus kill Druids. Kill goblins (Not a Spider Queen Draw) Will use illithid power sparingly. Will join the Zhentarim. Yes, you can join them in EA. Have to be a Thief (and maybe now a bard) and convince (don’t remember his name) the guy you saved from the gnolls to sell the chest.

But wait there’s MORE smile

Fifth: Zebulon (C/N-E)
Tiefling(Asmodeus): Barbarian Wild Magic, background Entertainer, Magic Initiate: bard to curse out his foes with Viscous Mockery before bashing their skull. Will try to use Alfia to get instrument proficiency.
Will side with Absolute for power not faith.

100% a monk. I know they may be subpar but I love 'em anyway. Depending on what homebrewing Larion does (they said they added some oomph to the class) I may go shadow and have them be my 'rogue,' or Monk of the four elements and have them be my tank. Probably a high half-elf so I can get the friends cantrip to pass those diplomacy checks easier.

First character will be Lola Sunshatter (I always kind of hated the last name), my second to last d&d character I played with my group a long time ago. She was a curly freckled blonde green eyed female halfling. Her 4e class was the Virtue of Cunning Bard, with a Silver Star Paragon Path.

She followed Selune the Moon Maiden, generally trying to be a good person. But was a compulsive liar, thief, and gatherer of knowledge and secrets. She eventually gained the eye of Vecna, was caught, told the truth for once and my party wanted the eye for themselves (they had this thing where they gathered all powerful items or artifacts and kept it locked away for the greater good). So she died and I moved on to a Gensai wild magic Sorc. as my last tabletop character. Which after finding out NO Gensai, a Forgotten Realms race for 4e is NOT going to be in a Forgotten Realms game, guess that's scrapped, little annoyed but it is what it is.

*Virtue of Cunning: just was one of two varients for a feature, basically when a npc missed a party member you could slide your party member to a adjacent square.
*Silver Star Paragon Path: was just a prestige class at level 11, it was for Selune in the 4e FR player's guide book.

So for BG3 it'll probably be a Lightfoot Halfling College of Lore Bard multi-classed into Arcane Trickster Rogue? Some kind of Rogue.

After that...who knows.

I've been thinking about this for years now, and as opening day approaches I'm no closer to my decision. If anything I'm even more undecided. With the duergar appearing, ugh what to do.

My years of PnP I loved playing wizards ( even though my own intelligence was lacking) A character I love to play is a mage killer. A wizard with rogue levels, for evasion and sneak attack. Both classes are heavy on intelligence, however I was never able to get it to translate to video games very well.

Most likely I am going to do a roll playing theme. A duergar Battle Cleric of Shar named Khazadoom.

Ah hell who am I kidding, I want to play a monk as well. And a half orc Barbarian named Doom. I have a feeling Ill be playing this for quiet sometime.

Cheers all

I did play a bard for years named Cania, she was fun a spell singer, could hypnotize just about anything breathing. Then the melee would enter and kill everything haha

I'm planning to re-create my favorite RL DnD campaign characters:
1. Cleo Menard, human, bard, college of swords
2. Alia, wood elf, monk, way of four elements
3. Lady Astrid, human, cleric, tempest domain

First Build:

Name: Tav de Tolouse de Bourbon de Orlean
Race: High Half-Elf
Class: Paladin (Oath of Devotion)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Background: Noble

Tav grew up the bastard son of a noble lady who got swept into a romance with a wandering elven wizard. He left and she married someone more respectable. She gave birth to Tav's younger sister, but she was kidnapped by her seemingly kindly nanny. His mother died of grief and Tav was raised by his aloof grandfather. Tav took on the path of the paladin partly to make his grandfather proud, partly to protect the innocent, and partly for the slim chance to find and rescue his younger sister.
