I haven't ever played DnD as a monk myself, is it really that important for them to be tanky? CON-wise? Is it possible to dump CON and let's say leave it at 12 or even 10? Can we make it work?
Monk is my most played class in 5E. Don’t dump CON.
You don’t wear armor, and while you do have tools to make you harder to hit, you still need that HP.
WIS and DEX are your most important stats, but you still want an okay CON and at least 10 STR. INT and CHA don’t matter. Thus, it’s the only class where non-variant human actually makes sense for the +1 to all attributes.
