I've been only half-following this thread because I didn't play the detective game. From how it was teased initially, I figured it was just some gimmicky marketing thing that was irrelevant to BG3 itself. But it sounds like that's not necessarily the case?
If one didn't play BiBG, are there BG3 story elements that might be missing?
