Larian didn't have to include that idiotic cringy content...And gamers don't have to be so vocal on it, there are way worst things in games.

Damn, I've only played 3 games from that list. Was born in the late nineteen-nineties, Fallout was one of my first games along with The Lost Vikings and Half-Life 1. Another ones are Heroes II and Ultima. Games felt different back in the day, could live in them but simultaneously not waste as much time as nowadays. Hope BG3 can give me same feeling, at least a half of that feeling will suffice! How did you find PFH, by the way?

I could swear Larian promised way way more of face presets (20 for each race??). I took a look at their new cc and I still dont find it enough. They were boasting early in development how many face scans they done??? Not to mention aswell that I saw our cc face presets on npcs during this new gameplays 😅 Am I only one who dont like this? It just kills my immersion abit. Ok ofc I can add this and that to my chara but npcs still wear my chara face…

Aswell I hope they address some stuffs in interviews till the game release; stuffs like multiplayer. I want some elaboration about this, if they improved it?

The bear thing am not bothered about, I just know it is not the route I will go, I find Halsin not interesting enough. Yeah it was shocking but seriously a fan service and just to shock and get attention in bad way so whatever. Romance part took too much of stream and we needed way more answers after all these years being in dark.

Love the Urge origin for Tavs, I wish they done more origins for Tavs…

I hope they ignore these kinds of threads. You control your choices in YOUR game. If you don't want to romance like this, choose options 3 or 4 or 5 on any of the prompts that were given in that string of options. Don't want it? Don't do it. Simple as that.

From a narrative standpoint, metamorphosis has been a constant theme throughout human mythology and storytelling history. So seeing it in a pseudo-medieval fantasy is not only fitting and welcome in the high-fantasy format, but the scene was written exceedingly well. The animation was really good to boot and the cut-away had a delightful tinge of comedy. Chef's kiss. Personally, I was lukewarm on this game since early access. It had potential but wasn't quite what I wanted in a DnD experience. But this stream, between the writing, character, lgbt+ romance, the story and combat reveals, and the dragonborn, I'm absolutely ecstatic for the title and can't wait till launch.

I really hope they stand by their writers and animators and waive off criticism like this. caving to this undeserved, and usually framed with false pretense, pressure will hurt the experience for everyone, which is the goal of these sorts of public pressure campaigns.

So yeah, for those that don't want it. Don't actively choose it. It was entirely easy to say "no" or "don't like this" in the options that were displayed.

The player is in control of their own journey, which is the point. And if you somehow failed to notice, the vast majority of live chat selected those options.

For those that want to explore as much of the breadth of writing as possible, it makes me excited for what else might be contained with the over 1,000 lines of dialogue.

And think of this specific point:

Ask any DnD table group about "the bard". You'll be hard-pressed to find any table with a bard that did not attempt to seduce the dragon.

Keep up the amazing work Larian Studios! I was absolutely blown away by what we can expect come launch! Don't pay any attention to the haters, the prudes, and the ones trying to ruin the experience for everyone else.

Thank you, Scoonster49. I had indeed missed the filter announcement, although since my disappointment had nothing to do with offended modesty, I still can't see how such a filter would aid me.

Man and that teaser. Still no atmospheric weather effects (basic stuff like rain...) and half of it feels like a bad porn flick. No problem have all that in the game, but in the teaser ?? lol.

To be fair, Sven warned that this was not for kids... and there is a ERSB 17, indicating nudity and strong sexual content... i think it good of Larian to show these things now, so people actually use the modesty filter... i think alot of people just ignore the labels and warnings...

I 100% agree with your dislike of the scene.

I bought this game as soon as it was pre-released. I've always supported and defended this game amongst my peers, and I've been eagerly awaiting the release. After that scene today, sadly, not anymore.

Any sexual relations between an animal / person isn't acceptable. I'll accept -a lot- from video games. Yes they're fiction. Yes it's an optional scene I could never see. However, it's too much of a slippery slope and it honestly made me feel sick seeing it.

I understand getting flamed in this forum. However, I made this post specifically in hopes that Larian receives the feedback. It's their game, they can do what they want with it, but so long as that scene persists, I can't support this game.

Larian, please remove this scene. It's extremely inappropriate, and no amount of magic / fantasy / video game can defend a literal pornographic scene between a human and animal.

People who want kids games can go play fortnite and roblox, and people who only want pure seriousness in a silly game like dungeons and dragons shouldn't be taken seriously. This isn't Les Miserables.
