College of Swords will be in the full game when it releases. Don't expect to do much tanking with it though.
Also, it sounds like you just want to create a Gish, in which case Eldritch Knight is probably your best bet for that. Alternatively you can multiclass, which will also be in the full game, so you can do a Bard/Paladin or Sorcerer/Paladin since they each use Charisma as their casting stat.
