Hello everyone,

I am very confused and have only found clues on the Internet, but no threads that have been thought through to the end. Of course, Gale also asked me to sacrifice magic items to him. Since I ran a little unluckily, I didn't find anything after a sword for a long time, which is why Gale pointed out the stature of the druids to me in a long rest. Already during the next long night he got angry and said that the matter was settled, although I didn't even refuse to steal the statue. Although I now have a magic item (Nere's shoes) with me before he was complaining, but he still is in the next long rest.

Only then did I also do the event with his death. This, in turn, started the corresponding storyline with Mystra in the camp. The magic items were no longer mentioned, although I often took a "long break" and don't know if something else will happen later in the game. What I don't succeed in is bringing the Mystra story BEFORE his complaint, meaning, there is no way for me to avoid his complaint at my current status.

I'm frankly upset with the bad script because I really wanted to help Gale, even if it hurts with the items. But I can neither prevent his final complaint nor offer him an available item at the same time, although I have never refused the help and do have an item for him now.

Now I'm considering loading a save before discussing the druid statue and getting an item to give him beforehand. But I really have to play a lot again. So now I'm wondering if that's even necessary or if his death story with Mystra overwrites the subject with the magic items anyway. Can someone who is already further along help me?

Edit: I just noticed that I am able to offer him a magic item even he told me his complaint and that the issue was settled. I'm completely confused now and thank you for any advice.
