I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but in the Harbs Narbs discord, Jibunfade posted a blurry screenshot that showed sneak attack as being available as a reaction now. This is a huge and much needed improvement. It makes me really hopeful of some of the other things that were requested that might be added. Sneak attack with offhand attack if your primary one misses is huge for rogue gameplay.

Can you please show us that screenshot?

Like I said, blurry, but he did say it was sneak attack and he's normally in the know about these things

On Reddit someone kinda confirmed this, but it seems like they don't want to talk openly about these things. Honestly I don't understand why, but I'm not the king of marketing either.

Sadly tho, neither confirms (not even indirectly) that we will be able to trigger Sneak Attack with our Off-hand weapons. :-/
Wich is much more important isue for me than reaction system.

Hopefully if it is a reaction then it would be triggerable on offhand attack?

Yeah, you can trigger divine smite on a bonus attack/pommel strike, I highly doubt they would use a different system, particularly when the whole point of implementing it as a reaction would be to trigger it this way (plus opportunity attack s.a. hopefully too)

So does offer us Off-Hand Sneak Attack icon tho, and we still dont have it. :-/

I wonder why modders came up with a quick and efficient solution for Stealth attack and Reckless Attack in barely few days of scripting (making it a passive toggle that you can disable at will in the -fairly rare- case you don't want to use them) and Larian is sticking with a largely ineffective one after two years of people complaining about the current implementation.

Yeah man I can't tell you how many times I have missed out on sneak attack during a turn with Astarion because it is a separate icon/not the default action when mousing over a target. So annoying.
