Was Early Access all of Act 1? I thought shadow-cursed lands and moonrise towers was the Act 1 finale. They said Shadow-Cursed lands was Act 2. But shadow-cursed lands does not seem particularly big. Does that mean Act 3 is the city? In DOS2, the Acts were not of equal size:
Act 1: 20% of the game
Act 2: 50% of the game
Act 3: 10% of the game
Act 4: 20% of the game

Is Act 2 a smaller act? Is Act 3 a bigger act? What is going on? What do people THINK is going on??

It both seems that way.

Personaly i wouldnt say so ...
There is more things to solve there.

Githyanki Creche, Moonrise towers, some Sharan remains (that weir doctor we seen in the end), Nightsong, ...

Also, i never played DoS, so this maybe was never expected, but it dont seems to me like Atcs are anyhow strictly separated ... in last cinematic trailer we have seen out party runing around Grymforge at level 8 after all.
And Cubblot have datamined empty map some time ago, that was labeled "Act1-B" or something among those words ...

So its quite possible imho that "acts" will not restrict locations we will be moving among, as much as time that passed on after our capture.

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown
Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are! frown

I got the impression that Moonrise Towers was a hub with multiple side quests.

I also have the understanding that EA is not all of Act 1 but they didn't say how much more is to be added.

I'm also a bit confused with the levelling. We can already easily get to level 5 in EA which means we go from there to level 12 with Acts 2 and 3.

So Baldur's Gate is going to be the final Act?

I'm not sure how to take that, honestly. I much preferred how well-traveled we were in the original 2 games. I was hoping for something like that. I hope BG acts as a hub of sorts and we can explore around the city from it-see the Woods of Sharp Teeth or Durlag's tower etc.

You can almost guarantee that Larian will be name-dropping around BG. They mentioned the inn and we saw inside Sorcerer's Sundries(?).

Yeah, I'm looking forward to exploring BG again, but I would just like to know that it isn't the only thing we are going to see on the Sword Coast once we get there. Like we have this cosmic multiplanar threat set up in the prologue with the planeshifting mindflayer spelljammer. I was expecting to be a able to see some more of what's out there than 'you land in the middle of nowhere, go to Moonrise towers, then make a Beeline for Baldur's Gate for the final act'

And you get to Moonrise Towers either via the Underdark or the Shadowlands so your sight-seeing options are somewhat limited.

I believe there is content they have not shown, so weather EA is all of act 1 or not, I believe there will be pleasant surprises. And as for act sizes it matters less to me than the over all story, and re playability. Which I believe will be EPIC.

DRAGON FIRE-AND DOOM Dragons? Splendid things, lad-so long as ye look upon them only in tapestries, or in the masks worn at revels, or from about three realms off...
