Regardless of the answer, I think Larian wants you to play the game more than once.
I can't play a long game more than once in a year. Even though there's lots of branching paths, these kinds of games are still 90% the same in every playthrough so I get bored fast if I've already done something. This is why I haven't played BG3 since January; I know if I played it soon before release that I'd dread having to go through the nautiloid and find the druids again.
So after a ~100 hour game it's not likely I'm going to replay it just to see one more origin play out.
