Gale has all the charisma of a used car salesman or a corrupt politician.
You and I have very different reads on him. I find him charming and endearing. When it comes to the two imperiled tiefling kids in the grove, he seems to wear his heart on his sleeve. Similar with Saza, though his enthusiasm is less for her life than the conviction of standing in front of Arka's threat.
And he has some great barks. "I think we already have the maximum number of theatrical titles." I love that line.
