The biggest takeaway I'm getting is that the game will be most rewarding for people who will play it over and over and over for years, in a way that's likely much greater than most games.
That's great news for me, but sad news for others.
I'm really looking forward to eg a Shadowheart playthrough to get a little more inside her head. I think I'll eventually do all the origin characters, after exploring a bit with the new races and classes.
