I mean you can make good choices, they just tend to be harder.
If you kill either quickly enough mayrina doesn't get sent to the dungeon and put in further peril.
If you sneak past Ethel's thralls and kill her you can save one of them.
You can invest in Mol
You can let the goblin kids escape in halsin's room and fight more guards
You can let the monster hunter go.
Theres plenty of options to be nice
Id argue that investing in thieves is a bad thing to do.
And i'd also argue that letting Evil murdering goblins escape is maybe not directly evil, but it will definitely lead to some bad consequences for some other poor schmuck that may happen to come upon them.
They are refugee kids giving them money isn't a bad thing.
Kid goblins are still kids
Yeah, that is always a tough moral argument from both perspectives. Would you kill baby Hitler(?) being the debate that most people fall back to as the core of this type argument.
I'm not sure there is a right answer, just different answers based on your values and beliefs. Is Murder wrong no matter what? Is murdering a murderer wrong? Is murdering someone who you know will murder if you don't kill them wrong? Different people have different combinations of answers to those three questions, and again, I don't think there is a right or wrong combination.
