At level four, I would consider one of the following feats:
-Ability Improvement: +2 Ability points to spend as the player sees fit between Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Charisma and Wisdom. (Choose DEX for both)
-Mobile: Your speed increases. When you use the Dash action, difficult terrain doesn't slow you down. Moreover, if you move after making a melee attack, you don't provoke an opportunity attack from your target.
-Skilled: You gain proficiency in any combination of three skills of your choice.
-Alert: You can't be surprised while you are conscious.
You gain a +5 bonus to initiative.
Other creatures don't gain advantage on attack rolls against you as a result of being unseen by you.
-Observant: Increase your Intelligence or Wisdom score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
You have a +5 bonus to your passive Wisdom (Perception) and passive Intelligence (Investigation) scores
