Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General What does the 'hearing' attribute control?

At first, I thought 'hearing' was supposed to control the distance at which red/green dots appear on the map. However, after wearing lots of +hearing equipment I really didn't notice any change in this. In fact, I couldn't notice any change at all.

So, what, exactly, does 'hearing' control?
