The dialoges already get awkward with shorter race npcs. Shorter playable characters will be even more awkward

There either is no issue, or its omnipresent.
Depends on your point of view.
If dialogues were problem ... we still have it.
If romance scenes were problem ... we still have it.
If models were problem ... we still have it.
Excluding any race from our party roster dont fix a thing!
